Obviously, you're an idiot.
Although I just posted this in a comment on Chai's site, I thought it was too perfect a statement of my testtaking abilities not to post here, too.
I was doing some multiple choice questions earlier, and as you may well know, the answer section will not only discuss why A is the right answer, but also why B, C, and D are wrong.
So, I picked D, right? Wrong. After reading why C was the right answer, it then stated, "D is obviously wrong." Well. Is it too late for a bar refund?

I need you! My left hand side of my 'puter is getting hot, too, and I don't know how hot is too hot! I don't remember it being this hot before, but before it wasn't 80 cazillion degrees and muggy!
Okay, I restarted, and I think something just kicked on, because it cooled down significantly. Now I'm scared. I have a warranty but I only bought this computer in May!
good! i just left another comment over at your place. hopefully yours is just fine, i'm sure the sudden onset of summer doesn't help. my particular computer is sort of a joke, i don't know anyone else who has the kind of problems mine has, so fate is probably on your side more than mine.
to make matters worse, i've noticed that my screen has started to blink since i got it back on friday. not "on and off" but like from one brightness level to the next. WTF?? i swear, if i were rich, this thing would be in the dumpster. i've just started using studysmart, so i'm really reluctant to do any more repairs at this point - but then when? during the bar, i guess? sigh.
god, i'm really long-winded tonight.
Are you sure your screen just isn't set to dim after a few minutes? Mine does that, just to save energy...
And it's feeling sorta warm again, but you might be right, summer probably isn't helping. We have no AC running in here or in the classroom where I take my BarBri course. I don't think I've really noticed it getting too hot in the library...hmmm.
This happens to me just about every single time I get something wrong. Am I just so patently stupid that it's not worth explaining the reasoning behind the choice?
But the one that really kills me is when it's conclusory, like "A is right. Therefore B, C, and D are wrong." Gee, thanks for the enlightenment.
How do you know if you were right and the solutions manuel is wrong? That happens all the time...
Hahahahahahaha, JM, you make too much sense.
ha, you guys are awesome.
fayza - you might want to look at the coolpad at roadtools. I bought the traveler pad for $20, but I think mine's so far gone that there's too much heat to dissapate, but if yours is only getting warm because of summer/lack of AC, it might be a good purchase for you. I like the way it rotates, too (it doesn't move when you're typing though).
oh, and the screen thing - it will actually flicker back and forth while i'm typing, as if something's loose and i'm shaking it back and forth - which is certainly possible now that it's traveled in the mail back and forth to memphis twice in the past month.
